Mahila Court Judge Devadass awarded life imprisonment to him for murdering the boy and a similar separate sentence for offences under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act with a direction that the punishments would run concurrently.
According to prosecution, the boy was last seen with V Selvam of the same village.
Police questioned him after the boy's father lodged a complaint. He confessed that he had buried the boy after abusing him sexually on July 22, 2014.
