Man gets five years in jail for killing his infant daughter

A court here today sentenced a man to five years in jail for killing his infant daughter.
The court also imposed fine of Rs 5,000 on him and in default of payment of fine he will have to further undergo nine months imprisonment.
Tejinder Singh, a resident of Mandi Gobindgarh, has allegedly thrown his 17-month-old child on the ground on the Diwali night in November 2012, after a tiff with his wife.
The baby was seriously injured and later succumbed to her injuries in a Chandigarh hospital.
