Man gets life for murdering woman in Erode district

: A local court here today awarded life sentence to a 24-year-old man for allegedly murdering a woman, with whom he had an illicit relationship, in 2013, in this district.
District Mahila Court Judge N Thirunavukkarasu sentenced Murugan to life imprisonment, for murdering one Parimalam.
According to prosecution, Parimalam(20) and her husband Sathish Kumar, from Pallipattu village in Cuddalore district had worked as daily wage workers in a brick chamber near here.
The accused who belongs to the same village also joined the same brick chamber and developed an affair with Parimalam.
The deceased had often demanded huge amounts of money from him.

Unable to bear the harassment, Murugan decided to kill her and on October 31, 2013, he took her to a lonely place, and smashed her head with a big stone, killing her on the spot.
Subsequently, Murugan was arrested.
