Man gets life imprisonment for murder

A man was sentenced for life by a court here for kidnapping and murdering a labourer in Barthar village in 1996.
Special Court Judge Manvendra Singh also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on the convict Narendra Yadav.
Two others accused in the case were acquitted due to lack of evidence.
Narendra had kidnapped Umesh on December 10, 1996 on the pretext of showing him a film. He killed him the next day and the body was found near Gazipur Pahor village.
Sitaram, the father of the deceased, had filed an FIR against Narendar and his two friends Srikishan and Dharm Vir in this connection.
