Kousar Begum, wife of Wazarat Iqbal, was found murdered on July 7 in Nain SukhAitti village in Rajouri with her by throat slit with a sharp-edged weapon, a police spokesman said.
During investigation, it was learnt that this was Iqbal's second marriage and Kousar was unhappy with the four children he had from his first wife, the spokesman said.
On the intervening night of July 6 and 7, Iqbal took Kousar to a nearby field and slit her throat, he said, adding that the weapon of offence has been recovered on the basis of the information provided by the accused.
