Balaram Sahu, from Cuttuck in Odisha, was yesterday held after he allegedly stole money from an ATM in Palasa town of the district, Deputy SP (Kasibugga) M Devaprasad said.
Sahu is an habitual offender. We nabbed him after he had withdrawn money from the ATM, the officer said.
Cash worth Rs 4.62 lakh was recovered from his possession.
Sahu confessed that he had committed several thefts from different ATM's in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. 19 ATM cards were also seized, the officer said, adding investigations are underway.
