Metropolitan Magistrate Abhilash Malhotra handed over the man to the officer in charge of Prashant Vihar police station and asked him to take appropriate action as per law against the man who was caught supplying "some articles" secretly to the undertrial.
The incident took place when the court was recording evidence in a criminal case and during the proceedings, one Pawan tried to supply "surrepticiously" "some articles" to accused Shamshudeen.
During search, 25 cylindrical-shaped pouches of two colours, nearly Rs 6600 in cash and some other articles were recovered from his possession. According to court sources, the small pouches might be containing narcotic substance.
The court directed the officials of Rohini court police chowki to appear before it and the police seized the pouches recovered from the man.
"Copy of this order be given to ASI Shailender Singh and be also sent to SHO of Police Station Prashant Vihar for appropriate action.
