Man held for uploading rape victim's photo on social media

A 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly posting on the social media the objectionable photo of a woman, who had alleged him of raping her, at Charthawan town in the district, police said today.
The accused, identified as one Babu, was arrested yesterday under provisions of the Information Technology Act, SHO Sanjiv Sharma said.
The woman, in her complaint, alleged that she had filed a private complaint against the accused in a local court.
In her complaint, she had accused Babu of raping her.
Since then, the accused had been mounting pressure on her to withdraw the complaint.
When the woman refused, Babu posted her objectionable photo on the social media, Sharma said, adding they have initiated a probe into the matter, he said.
