The police said today that Kiran Nayak, a resident of Chandanpur village under Rajnagar police station, was arrested after his daughter complained to the police that he had made advances to her in a drunken state.
The girl's mother also supported the claim of her daughter.
"The victim and the accused were first sent for medical examination and later the accused was arrested and remanded to judicial custody," Sritikantha Kanungo, Inspector of Police, Rajnagar police station, said.
