A 22-year-old man was caught with 1.75 kg of charas near Tara Devi area here on Tuesday evening, police said.
The accused was identified as Anil Kumar of Ropari village, Aani tehsil, Kullu district, a driver by profession, Shimla Deputy Superintendent of Police Pramod Shukla said.
Anil was arrested after 1.755 kg of charas was recovered from his car near Tara Devi, under Boileauganj Police Station in Shimla, he added.
A case was been registered against him under section 20 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, he said. Further investigation is on.
