A man has been apprehended by CISF officials at a Delhi metro station on Tuesday for allegedly carrying a pistol and some bullet rounds in his bag, a senior CISF officer said.
Abhimanyu Yadav (28), a resident of Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh, was intercepted by the Central Industrial Security Force personnel at the Vaishali metro station in Ghaziabad around noon, he said.
Four live bullet rounds, a local-made pistol and Rs 50,000 were recovered from his hand baggage, the officer said.
He has been handed over to the Ghaziabad police for further investigation.
Carrying arms and ammunition in the metro is banned.
