Man held with tiger hide in Chhattisgarh

A 32-year-old man possessing a tiger skin, estimated to be worth Rs 25 lakh in international market, was arrested in Kondagaon district, police said today.
"Leelambar was nabbed from Kulhadgaon village under Farasgaon police station limits of the district last evening while he was trying to sell the skin of the wild animal," JSWatti, Kondagaon Superintendent of Police told PTI.
Acting on a tip-off, a trap was laid at Kulhadgaon where a suspect was spotted carrying a white gunny bag in which the tiger hide was found, he said.
"On interrogation,Leelambar, a native of Rajakhariar village of Odisha, admitted that hehadbrought the tiger skin from Sonpur forests of Narayanpur district," the SP said.
A case has been registered in this connection, the SP said.
