The incident took place around 9 PM yesterday when the victim, a journalism student, was going to her home situated in Govindpuri transit camp area.
"When the girl was going home, one Manoj, a local, along with his friends allegedly passed a lewd comment on her. Manoj then molested victim, who later narrated the incident to her mother," said a police official.
The victim's mother then went to Manoj and scolded him for his act, he said, adding that in the meantime, Manoj slapped the girl and fled the spot.
