Additional and Sessions judge Mahananda Das sentenced Nandan Saha to 20 years imprisonment after Saha was convicted of raping the little girl at Kirnahar village in Nanoor area.
The court also directed the state government to pay Rs 20,000 as compensation to the victim's family.
According to the prosecution, the minor girl was forcibly taken away by her neighbour Nandan to a secluded place on August six last year and forced himself on the helpless child.
