kidnapped by eight persons on suspicion that he killed their friend earlier this month, police said.
The Khadakpada police has registered an offence under sections 363 (punishment for kidnapping) read with 34 (acts done by several persons with common intention) of the IPC.
The abducted man has not been traced so far, said police. According to police the victim, Hemant Jadhav, had sold his two-wheeler to one Dnyaneshwar Patil, who happened to be his friend. It was on the first day of this month that Patil met with an accident involving the two wheeler and died on the spot.
Initially it was stated that they would bring him back but never showed up. Brother and friends of Hemant tried to trace him but were not successful.
A complaint was finally lodged with police naming four suspects.
