28-year-old Deepak Koli had a fight with his wife Anita after which she went to her parents house with their daughter. Deepak had gone to bring her back home last evening, but she refused to return, Station House Officer (SHO) of Gumanpura police station Sanjay Sharma said.
Disappointed, Deepak brought his daughter Tanu home and killed her. He then hung himself, the officer said.
Their post-mortem was conducted today at Maharao Bheem Singh (MBS) hospital and the bodies were then handed over to the family members, he said, adding that a case has been registered.
The deceased, identified as Anil Soni, was suffering from depression for quite sometime and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, they said.
