Man kills wife after suspecting her of having affair

A woman was murdered allegedly by her husband, who suspected her of having an extra-marital affair, in Bhatta Basti area her, police said.
The accused husband has been arrested after the incident, they said.
The incident occurred yesterday, when a verbal spat broke out between the couple after which the accused husband Vinod (38) strangulated his wife Sonia Swami (35).
His children informed about the quarrel of their parents to their neighbour, who rushed her to Kanwatia hospital where doctors declared her brought dead, DCP (North) Prafful Kumar said.
"Her parents came here from Delhi and registered an FIR against Vinod. The body was handed over to them today and the accused husband was arrested," he said.
