Man kills wife and mother-in-law

A man killed his wife and
mother-in-law after the couple sparred in Nauchandi district, police said today.
Nadeem (40) murdered Shaila (35) with a sharp-edged weapon on Saturday night when an argument broke out between the couple.
Nadeem was infuriated after his wife received a phone call from Imraan, with whom she was in a relationship.
Shaila's mother, who was in the neighbourhood, was also stabbed to death by Nadeem when she came to their house after hearing her daughter's screams, police said.
Later the accused surrendered himself before the police yesterday morning.

Nadeem had accused his wife earlier for having a love affair with Imraan and had asked her to severe all ties with him but Shaila refused this, police said, adding the panchayat had also intervened in the matter.

A murder case has been registered against Nadeem and he has been sent to jail on a complaint filed by Shaila's sister.
Nadeem had revealed during questioning that Imraan tried to kill him on March 12 for objecting to his relationship with Shaila, police said.
