Man kills wife for her looks

A 35-year-old woman was
strangulated to death and thrown into Krishna river allegedly by her husband who had "complaints about her looks", police said today.
The woman's body was recovered from Krishna river in Doghat police station area yesterday, they said, adding a letter was recovered which stated that her husband had complaints about her looks and that she failed to give birth to a child.
The accused Sunny, who has been taken into custody for interrogation, said that since he was not getting a suitable match, his uncle had got him married to Anju in a court, police said.

Sunny alleged that his wife was having an illicit relationship because of which he strangulated and threw her in the river.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway, they said.
