Man on run for three years held for 'killing' contractor

A 32-year-old man, who was on the run for three years, has been arrested for allegedly killing a contractor in 2015, police said today.
Nishant Patil was arrested yesterday by sleuths of the Anti-Extortion Cell, a senior police official said.
Acting on a tip-off, we raided a house where Nishant Patil had come to meet his relatives and then apprehended him, said the officer attached to AEC.
According to the officer, Nishant Patil had allegedly murdered a contractor Sandeep Waman Patil, with whom he had past rivalry over property, on January 19, 2015.
He said that a probe was on.
