While pronouncing the jail term for Firozul Akhtar Aman yesterday, Additional Session Judge Debasis Rout also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the convict.
In case of default in payment of the fine, the convict would have to undergo jail term for an additional year.
According to the prosecution, Aman was caught by police on August 23, 2014 when he was travelling in a car with 45 kg ganja along with weighing instruments and Rs 63,000 cash.
During investigation, the man had confessed that he was involved in drug trade.
