beaten up and set ablaze by two persons in Rampur Mathura area here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when Ramchandra (30) was going somewhere following which he was attacked by one Kunware Lal and his accomplice, they said.
The duo beat him badly and later set him afire, police said, adding that the injured has been rushed to a hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical.
Police has registered an FIR in this connection and probe is on.
Prima facie it appears to be a case of the old enmity, they said, adding no arrests have been made in this connection yet.
