Man shot in robbery attempt, hospitalised

A man was today shot at by two motorcycle-borne unidentified assailants when he tried to stop them from robbing a cash collection van outside a mall here, the police said.
Kailash, a cash collection agent, suffered bullet injuries to his abdomen and has been hospitalised, Sector 24 SHO Umed Kumar Yadav said.
The incident occurred when he was going to deposit the cash collected from shops at a bank. He managed to foil the robbery attempt, the officer said.
The matter is being investigated and a search is on for the assailants.
