Man strangulates wife to death, arrested

A man strangulated his wife to death in a locality under the Town police station area in Bihar's Katihar district today, a police officer said.
The accused has been arrested and charged with the murder, Town police station in-charge K N Singh said.
The incident took place in Prabhat Nagar area as the accused Arjun Mandal overpowered his wife Kanchan Devi and strangulated her to death in a fit of rage after suspecting his wife of infidelity, he said.
Mandal, an electrician by profession, later confessed to his crime and was arrested, Singh said.
