The Ludhiana Police today claimed to have solved the murder case of a commission agent with the arrest of a man who had a rivalry with the victim's son.
Gaurav alias Goru allegedly had shot dead G S Chaudhary, a resident of new Sabzi Mandi, in broad day light yesterday, police said.
Deputy Commissioner Police, Gagan Deep Singh said during preliminary probe, the accused admitted that he was seeking revenge from the victim's son.
After killing Chaudhary, the accused parked his scooter near Slemtabri chowk and left for Roorkee in Haryana, Singh said.
Acting on a tip off, the police recovered his scooter and seized a country made pistol, eight live cartridges and three toy pistols from the two-wheeler's storage compartment.
The accused, a resident of Aman Nagar locality in teh city was arrested from the local railway station upon his return from Roorkee.
