Manabari tea garden opens

Manabari tea garden under Mal subdivision in Jalpaiguri district opened today after remaining closed for three months.
The development was a fallout of the tripartite talks beld among the management, workers representatives and state government at Siliguri yesterday, sources at the Siliguri Labour Commissioner's office said.
Nearly 1000 tea garden workers are employed in the garden.
It was also agreed at the tripartite talks that the dues of the workers would have to be cleared.
The first instalment of their dues would be paid soon, the sources said.
