Savesh Rao, founder of 'Team Mangalore' said that artist Dinesh Holla and Sathish Rao would take part in the event with the team's creative kite 'Dhamapathi'. This kite is an applique delta kite which is 18-feet high and 16-feet wide. Besides this, other kites named Adhivasi, Surya and Deepa would also be flown at the event by Team Mangalore, he said.
Team Mangalore is participating in this festival for the seventh time. Dinesh Holla has aesthetically designed a publicity poster for the International Kite Festival. Holla has been invited by the general organiser Dieppe Capital of kites Sandrine Frebourg to give live demonstration of 'Raga Rekha', a line art sketch on 36-metre canvas featuring the essence of tribal art form from the 28 states of India at the fest venue.
