The team interacted with Lt Gen A K Chaudhary, General Officer Commanding (Bengal Area) of the Army's Eastern Command, who urged them to share their experience with parents, friends and relatives on their return about development and progress in the country and importance of peace to ensure progress.
He also stressed on preserving ecological balance for sustainable development.
The Army has undertaken a large number of civic action programmes under 'Operation Sadbhavna' to win the hearts and minds of people in Jammu and Kashmir and the Northeast, as part of a strategy for conflict resolution.
They would return tomorrow after completing a four-day visit to the metropolis.
