He said that all villages in the state will be connected with motorable roads by 2017.
The police headquarters with all modern facilities will be spread over 54,716 sq mt and will adhere to earthquake resistant building specifications.
Bihar State Building Construction Corporation Limited (BSBCCL) will complete the building within 24 months.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjhi said the JD(U) ministry has initiated development in the state since Nitish Kumar formed the government.
"The speed of completion of construction projects has been increased and I hope that the state will keep marching ahead in the coming days. Differences are noticed between the estimated cost of various projects by private and government agencies. There is a need to pay attention to keep costs under check and ensure good quality construction," he said.
Apart from the police headquarters project, the other schemes that Manjhi inaugurated and launched are worth Rs 250 crore.
The chief minister said the state government has formed various work agencies to take the development and construction work ahead in Bihar.
He alleged that the Centre has cut down financial assistance under Backward Region Grants Fund (BRGF) as well as the size of various welfare schemes like Indira Awas Yojana.
"Despite all the problems, we have decided to take development to the doorsteps of the poor, and we will succeed in doing so," Manjhi said.
