Former Himachal chief minister PK Dhumal today denied owning properties outside the state and said the government to get the matter probed to identify and confiscate them if they find one.
Denying reports that he had huge properties in other parts of India which the Vigilance Bureau wants to get probed by the CBI, Dhumal said he was ignorant about these properties and asked the government to file a complaint with the Lokayukta.
The former HP CM said that he was not afraid of any probe by any agency and asked Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to get the allegations probed by CBI, FBI or any agency.
He, however, asked the government to reveal the identity and antecedents of the complainant and warned that all those behind the vilification campaign including the sleuths of Vigilance Bureau would not be spared and face defamation suit.
The BJP leader also appealed to the media not to file wrong stories against him as he would file criminal cases against those who had been trying to frame him in false cases.
Dhumal said that earlier also, former Punjab chief minister Amrinder Singh had made similar allegations and later he blamed the media for publishing reports in his name without his knowledge.
Dhumal once again reiterated that the proposed central university in the state would be located at two places, Dehra and Dharamshala and it was wrong to say that all campuses of the proposed University would be at Dharamshala.
He told reporters that the Union Forest and conservation ministry in its letter of August 26, 2014, clarified that land measuring 81.7916 hectares had been cleared in Dehra for the proposed campus of the central university.
The state government was trying to stall the project and blaming the BJP unnecessarily for having campuses of the University at two separate Dharamshala and Dehra, he said.
Dhumal said that as per initial plan, the head office of the University would be at Dharamshala and other campuses in Dehra.
