Marks & Spencer-Reliance appoints James Munsen as MD

Marks & Spencer Reliance India today appointed James Munsen as the new managing director replacing Venu Nair.
Munsen is a seasoned retailer with over 20 years of experience, including six years in the country and the Czech region that covers the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, and Estonia.
Nair will be leaving M&S later this month to join as the chief commercial officer for the retail arm of the Tatas, Trent.
Munsen will be responsible for continuing to grow Marks & Spencer's joint venture business with Reliance Retail. M&S has 57 stores across 27 cities in the country, making it the largest outside Britain.
Munsen, who will take charge from May joined Marks & Spencer in the Britain in 2006. In 2011, he was appointed as Marks & Spencer Reliance India's retail head. In 2014, he was appointed managing director of the Czech Group. --------------------------------------------------------- ONGC chief Sarraf on CSIR governing body
ONGC chairman and managing director Dinesh K Sarraf has been nominated to the prestigious governing body of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for a three-year term. The governing body, headed by the prime minister, is the apex body of CSIR for all decision making processes.
Sarraf graduated in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi and did his post-graduation from Delhi University. He is an associate member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants and the Institute of Company Secretaries.

Housing.Com, part of Elara Technologies, which also owns PropTiger.Com and Makaan.Com, today appointed Amit Masaldan as national sales head.
Masaldan will assume his new role with immediate effect and report to Mani Rangarajan, CBO. Recently the company was merged with PropTiger.

As part of its third anniversary in the country Datsun today launched a special anniversary editions of Datsun Go, (at Rs 4.19 lakh) and Datsun Go+ (at Rs 4.9 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi).
Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan India said the anniversary editions come with a first-in-segment ambient lighting app for mobile phones with which a customer can choose the mood lighting of the car's cabin to suit one's taste.
