Max 72.65 pc polling held in 1967 Haryana assembly polls

In Haryana Vidhan Sabha polls held in 1967, maximum 72.65 per cent polling took place while it was 57.26 per cent in 1968, the lowest so far, Election Department spokesman said here today.
Similarly, in 1982 maximum number of women exercised their franchise with polling percentage of 45.04 per cent, while in 1991 minimum number of women went to polls with 43.91 percentage.
During the Vidhan Sabha Elections in 1967 and 1968, the percentage of women voters who exercised their franchise was 44.93 and 44.40 per cent, respectively.
Similarly, in Vidhan Sabha Elections 1972, total percentage of polling was 70.46 per cent, of which 44.89 per cent of women exercised their voting franchise.
Similarly, in 1977 the total polling percentage was 64.6 per cent during which percentage of women voters was 44.40 per cent, the spokesman said.
In 1982 Haryana Vidhan Sabha Elections, the total polling percentage was 69.87 per cent whereas 45.04 per cent of women voters went to polls.
Similarly, in 1987 total polling percentage was 71.24 per cent during which 44.23 per cent of women voters went to polls, the spokesman said.
He said that in 1991 Vidhan Sabha Elections, total 65.86 per cent of total polling took place where 43.91 per cent of women voters exercised their right to vote.
Similarly, in 1996 total 70.54 per cent polling took place where 44.89 per cent of women voters went to polls.
In Vidhan Sabha Elections-2000, total polling of 69.01 per cent took place where 44.72 per cent of women voters went to polls.
Similarly in 2005, 71.96 per cent polling took place here 44.70 per cent women voters went to polls.
In Haryana Vidhan Sabha Elections 2009, total polling of 72.37 per cent took place where 44.70 per cent women went to polls, the spokesman added.
