Max temperatures hover close to normal levels in Punjab, Haryana

Maximum temperatures today stayed close to the normal levels in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.

Union Territory of Chandigarh, the joint capital of the two states, recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, a meteorological department report said.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 35.7 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 34.4 and 34.3 degrees Celsius respectively.

In Haryana, Ambala, Hisar, Karnal recorded maximum temperatures of 33.7, 35.1 and 27.5 degrees Celsius.
