Max temps hover close to normal across Har, Punjab

The maximum temperature across Punjab and Haryana today hovered close to normal limits, a MeT report said.
In Haryana, Hisar and Narnaul recorded 42.2 degrees Celsius and 41.5 degrees Celsius respectively, which were within the normal limits, the report said.
Karnal recorded a high of 39 degrees Celsius and Ambala 38.3 degrees Celsius.
Patiala in Punjab recorded a high of 39.5 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana's maximum settled within the normal limits, at 39.1 degrees Celsius, the report said, adding Amritsar recorded a high of 38.2 degrees Celsius, one notch below the normal.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a high of 38.6 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, according to a MeT forecast for the next two days, rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab.
