Maximum temperature hovers below normal in Punjab, Haryana

Maximum temperatures continued to hover below normal today across Punjab and Haryana with both the states witnessing an increased rainfall activity over the past few days.
According to the MeT department, Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 31.9 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal.
In Punjab, Amritsar's maximum temperature settled at 34 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, while Ludhiana recorded a maximum of 32.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal and Patiala recorded a high of 32.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.
Ambala in Haryana registered a high of 31.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal while Karnal's maximum settled at 30 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal.
Narnaul registered a high of 33 degrees Celsius.
