The Marxist Coordination Committee (MCC) will contest the Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat and support candidates belonging to the Left parties in other seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
"The party is fielding Anand Mahato from Dhanbad seat with the support of the CPI, the CPI (M) and the CPI (ML-Liberation)," senior MCC leader Arup Chatterjee said over phone today.
"As per the agreement we will support Left party candidates in other seats," Chatterjee said.
Forward Block, however, did not extend support to Chatterjee, who is the lone MLA from his party.
Mahato was a five-time MLA in undivided Bihar.
