The water supply would be restored as soon as the work is over, Western Railway said in a release here today.
"BMC has proposed to undertake major alteration work of trunk pipeline, thereby, affecting the water supply to Bandra Terminus station and Bandra Yard till November 21. Due to this, the water supply is decided to be discontinued with immediate effect, upto completion of the work on November 21," the statement said.
"Western Railway has made adequate arrangements for watering of trains at Surat and Valsad stations, however, due to constraints in availability of water and other infrastructure at these locations, watering in some trains may be affected," added the statement.
The WR also expressed its regret over the inconvenience caused to the passengers and has requested to bear the temporary arrangements.
