Meat, liquor bottles found in Amethi Eidgah

Tension prevailed in Shukul Bazar area here after meat and liquor bottles were found in the Badalgarh Eidgah today, prompting the police to file a case.
The matter came to light this morning, prior to the special Eid-ul-Fitr prayers, police said.
Superintendent of Police, Poonam, said that after cleaning of the Eidgah, namaz was offered there and the situation was under control.
Officials said a case has been registered unidentified persons for doing mischief causing damage, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace and related offences.
The situation was being monitoring, the officials said.
Probe is on and strict action will be initiated against those involved in the act, the SP said.
