Better mechanism to monitor oil and gas pricing in the country, effective implementation of Jan Lokpal and stress on vocation skills and self-employment training as a measure to combat unemployment are going to be some of the main issues in AAP's economic agenda, according to sources.
"After AAP-led government in Delhi ordered an FIR last month against Union Minister Veerappa Moily and Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani on gas pricing issue, fast track investigation in gas and coal scams will also be one the main points in the soon-to-be-finalised economic agenda, said the source.
As Delhi Chief Minister, party's convener Arvind Kejriwal had directed the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) of his government to file a criminal case against Moily and Ambani among others for alleged collusion in the hike in prices of natural gas from KG basin.
AAP has repeatedly raised this issue in its poll campaign for Lok Sabha elections. However, RIL has refuted all the allegations.
AAP also plans to draw a roadmap to ensure that gas and oil are available at low prices in the country and for greater participation of public in regard to gas and oil exploration.
Party's another close-to-heart issue, Jan Lokpal and its effective implementation to root out corruption will be a major focus area in the agenda, said the source.
The party's economic policies are also likely to focus on containing inflation and unemployment.
"While in government, Kejriwal had set up a committee to look in to regularisation of contractual jobs and initiating measures to curb black markets and middle men. The party will formulate strong policies on these issues," said the source.
