Medium sugar edges down on reduced demand

Medium sugar prices edged down further at the Vashi wholesale market here today on reduced demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample arrivals.
Meanwhile, small sugar ended mixed on alternate pattern of buying and selling.
Medium sugar (M-30) eased by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,892/4,072 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,892/4,082.
Small sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs 3,846/3,906 per quintal as against Rs 3,850/3,901.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,846/3,906 (Rs 3,850/3,901).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,892/4,072 (Rs 3,892/4,082).
