The meeting, chaired by Union Urban Development Ministry Secretary, was attended by senior officials from the Ministry, Delhi government, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and North and South MCDs.
"Issues that need to be resolved for implementation of the policy were iscussed during the meeting. There would be further meetings to sort out the issues," an official said.
Transfer of about 12 per cent of developed land to Delhi government was also taken up at the meeting in which DDA stated that in accordance with the Master Plan of Delhi, land would be provided to Delhi Government on "need basis as is being done now". However, the Delhi government is demanding about 12 per cent of the developed land.
It was informed that North and South municipal bodies have passed resolutions for notifying 89 villages as urban areas.
During the meet, the Delhi government has also sought some clarifications regarding provision of civic amenities in the developed areas.
Other issues that were discussed included waiver of stamp duty on transfer of developed land by DDA to farmers or promoters.
While the Land Pooling Policy was finalised in 2013, regulations in this regard have been approved in May 2015 but the same are still to be notified.
