Mein calls for judicious use of developmental funds

Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Friday called for judicious use of developmental funds and quality implementation of projects in time-bound manner.

Inaugurating two RCC deck steel bridges over Obung Nallah and over Pibung Nallah along the Kaying Gaseng Gate road in Siang district, Mein said that the state government is committed to provide last mile connectivity.

The road would connect border villages under the district, an official release said.

Addressing a public rally at Kaying circle headquarters, the deputy chief minister while underscoring the importance of road connectivity to the remote and far-flung areas, called for judicious use of funds and quality implementation of the projects in toto.

Replying to a proposal submitted by state Power Minister Tamiyo Taga who represent the district, Mein assured to look into the construction of Part- B (Phase-I) of the Kaying Gaseng Gate road, besides road connectivity up to Payum Circle under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) or North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS) in the next financial year.

The deputy chief minister also assured to clear road project from Rumgong to Molom pending under Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) and also consider to look into the realignment of 1983 old road from Boleng to Kaying.
