"Supergirl" star Melissa Benoist is all set to make her Broadway debut with "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical".
The announcement was made by producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing, stating that Benoist, 29, will portray Carole King in the musical from June 7 and will play a limited run through August 4.
"The stage has always felt like home to me and the fact that I will be joining the amazingly talented 'Beautiful' family for my Broadway debut is wish fulfilment at its finest.
"Carole's music was a mainstay in my household growing up, like it was for so many people. It will be an honour and a pleasure to sing her music and portray her inspiring resilience to audiences every night," Benoist said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly.
The musical focuses on the early life and career of King, the famed singer-songwriter, and it opened on Broadway in 2014.
