Menthol oil weakens on subdued demand

Menthol oil prices were lower by Rs 5 per kg on the wholesale chemical market in the national capital today following sluggish demand from consuming industries.
However, other chemical held steady in thin trade.
Traders said muted demand from consuming industries against adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing belts mainly led to decline in mentha oil prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and oil prices were down by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,065, Rs 1,055 and Rs 1,085 per kg, respectively.
