Merck Q2 net down 11.67 pc at Rs 20.12 cr

Drug and chemical firm Merck today reported 11.67 per cent dip in its net profit to Rs 20.12 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2017.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 22.78 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Merck Ltd said in a filing to BSE.
Total income of the company also declined to Rs 271.07 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 283.36 crore for the same period a year ago.
Shares of Merck Ltd today closed at Rs 1,253.80 per scrip on BSE, down 0.06 per cent from the previous close.
