The local MeT office predicted rain or snow at isolated places in higher hills for the next six days and rain or thunderstorm at some places in lower and mid hills for the next three days.
Day temperature stayed three to five degrees above normal in many places and Sundernagar recorded a high of 37.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Nahan 36.2, Bhuntar 36, Solan 33.6, Dharamsala 32.2, Shimla 28.2, Manali 25.2 and Kalpa 23.6 degrees Celsius.
Kalpa recorded a minimum of 6.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Manali 7.2, Bhuntar 13.2, Dharamsala 14.4, Solan and Sundernagar 16, Shimla 17.4, Palampur 19, Una 20.6 and Nahan 21.7 degrees Celsius.
The weather remained dry in most parts of the state, but chilly winds swept mid- and higher-hills providing some relief from the searing heat.
