Among the four major cities, Gaya recorded the highest maximum temperature 40.2 degree celsius today while its minimum stood at 23.3 degree celsius.
In Patna the maximum temperature was 37.4 degree celsius, the Met office bulletin said. Patna's yesterday's maximum temperature was recorded at 37.4 degree celsius.
Bhagalpur witnessed a maximum temperature at 36.6 and a minimum of 23.5 degree celsius and Purnea 35.6 degree celsius and 19.9 degrees respectively.
The minimum temperature at Purnea was the lowest in the state.
