"Ant-Man and the Wasp" is expected to begin filming sometime next year, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The sequel will also see the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne and Michael Douglas as Dr Hank Pym.
Peyton Reed will once again serve behind the lens. "Transformers" scribe Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari as well as Academy Award-winner Adam McKay ('The Big Short') are set to pen the script for "Ant-Man and the Wasp". Kevin Feige is attached as producer.
Pena, 40, recently wrapped filming Will Smith's "Collateral Beauty", which is scheduled to be released this year on December 16.
