The 20-year-old 'Can't Be Tamed' hitmaker, who was also swatted in August 2012, was not at home at the time of the incident, according to TMZ.
Cyrus is not the only celebrity to have fallen victim to such a prank. Last month police received a call claiming two armed men were arguing at Rihanna's Pacific Palisades home and someone had been shot.
The incident comes after more than a dozen police cars and two helicopters recently swarmed rapper Diddy's home following a hoax phone-call informing them that someone had been shot inside the property.
Upon searching the mansion, officers found no evidence of criminal activity or a shooter.
Other victims also include Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise, Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and the Kardashian family.
