Based on specific inputs, a joint search operation by the Army and police was launched in the upper reaches of Pangai in Dera Ki Gali area in the district, a defence spokesman said.
He said that the team unearthed a cache of arms and ammunition which was hidden in a natural cave.
The stockpile consisted of one AK rifle with two magazines, one Chinese pistol with magazine and assorted ammunition of AK rifle, pistol, hand grenades and rifle grenades, the spokesman said.
